WHAT IS A CSA?
Receive Fresh, Local, and Organic Produce every week during our Harvest Season!
WHAT IS CSA?
CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. CSA is a way for you to obtain fresh, local, and certified organic produce directly from us during harvest season. The produce you will receive is grown by us at our farm on Long Island, NY. Hand-picked fresh within 24 hours that you will receive your share. You have a direct access to local organic food and a direct contact with your very own organic farmer that grows your food.
WHEN DOES IT START?
Our CSA Program starts in late June and it runs for 20 weeks from some time in June and ends in October/November, depending on when we start harvesting. You will be notified the actual week/date of pick-up before it starts.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Our 2025 CSA Share costs:
Farm Pick-up - $600
0Other pick-up locations - $660
Possible Direct Home Delivery anywhere in Long Island - + direct home delivery fee (TBA)
For us to invest more in growing your food, we prefer full payment either check or money order. Monthly Payment terms are available if you join no later than February.
Confirmation email and payment instructions will be sent shortly after filling up our application form. We will only ask for payment if a spot is available for you.
WHAT WILL I RECEIVE?
You will receive a weekly share of a variety of in-season produce that we grow from our farm that will run for 20 weeks. The weekly share contents will change from week to week depending on what is in season and ready to harvest from our farm. Please check our sample CSA share photos to get an idea of what you will be receiving. You will receive a weekly CSA email on what you will be getting in your share, some (new) veggie information and recipe suggestions. This is a one (1) size traditional CSA where you will be introduced what is growing in season and appreciate the quality of taste and freshness of the produce.
CAN I SPLIT A SHARE?
You can split a share with your friend. Just indicate on the “notes’ field of the form their information to be included in your account. Both of you will receive all the correspondence with regards to your account, unless you request otherwise. You are responsible in splitting the weekly share among yourselves. We will only send one (1) share to your pick-up site for you and your friend.
WHERE CAN I PICK-UP MY SHARE?
You can pick up your weekly CSA shares from our farm in Calverton or from our other different CSA sites across Long Island, NY: Babylon, Center Moriches, East Williston, Garden City, Laurel Hollow/Syosset, Long Beach, Massapequa, Port Washington, Rockville Center, Rocky Point, Sayville, Selden, and Smithtown. We also have private CSA groups. We are constantly looking to add new group sites and working on making it more convenient for you. You can check out the details and schedule of our CSA sites here.
Do you want to start and host a CSA site? Then be one of our CSA Coordinators!
We are working on a possible direct home delivery anywhere on Long Island with an additional fee if you can’t find a CSA site that is convenient for you.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I’M GOING AWAY AND I CAN’T PICK-UP MY SHARE?
All unclaimed shares will be donated by your CSA Site Coordinator at the end of the day. If you are going away and cannot pick-up your share for the week, please have a relative or friend claim your share while you’re away. Let us know at least 48 hours before your scheduled vacation who is the person picking up your share so we can let your site coordinator know. Or you can contact your site host directly. Please make sure that the person you assigned to claim your share knows the rules in picking up your share at your designated CSA site.
IS THERE FRUIT?
We grow organic melons which will be included in your share once it is in season.
We are also offering an optional ADD-ON Briermere Fruit Share. Fruits are from Briermere Farms. Fruits are not organic but grown right here in Long Island. Fruit Share runs for 15 weeks starting in July. Each week is a bag of approximately 4lbs of in-season fruits grown by Briermere Farms. Fruits are pre-packaged separately by Briermere Farms and will be delivered together with the CSA shares from our farm. This can only be added if you are a regular CSA member. 2025 Fruit Share costs TBA
